As a UIAGM/IFMGA professional mountain guide and professionally trained ski instructor, I offer my guests a varied, all-round alpine experience. I’ll be happy to accompany you to the most beautiful peaks of Alta Badia and other Dolomite valleys, such as Val Gardena, Alta Pusteria, Val di Fassa or the area around Cortina d’Ampezzo.
In addition to alpine climbing, via ferratas, high mountain tours and hikes in summer, I also offer snowshoe hikes, ice climbing and ski tours during the winter months.
Climbing courses for both beginners and advanced climbers, crevasse and avalanche rescue courses, as well as ski touring and freeriding courses are also part of my services. I also offer climbing and trekking trips for small groups in spring and autumn, such as trips to Arco on Lake Garda or along the Selvaggio Blu on Sardinia.
Every alpine discipline and therefore every season has a very special charm for me, which I enjoy sharing with like-minded people. I especially love seeing a guest’s face light up when we reach our goal together.

My name is Andreas Schäfer, but please call me Andy. I was born in 1981 and grew up in Sesto with the Dolomites of Alta Pusteria right on my doorstep. I've been active in the mountains since my childhood, whether on foot or on skis, and I consider myself extremely fortunate to have turned my two greatest passions into a career. I have been a state-certified ski instructor since 2003 and have been working full-time as a mountain guide since 2015. I have been living with my family in the beautiful La Villa in Val Badia since 2009.
As well as my technical skills in climbing and skiing, I am also a calm, patient, reliable, flexible and conscientious person. Make sure my guests enjoy the mountains safely and receive the best personal advice and care is always my top priority.

Durch seine angenehme Art und Weise, motiviert er nicht nur seine Kunden, sondern begleitet sie professionell und vermittelt Sicherheit und Vertrauen. Wir hatten einen tollen Tag. Mit einem ganz tollen Bergführer. Da es unser erster Klettersteig war konnte er uns bei allen Fragen helfen und gab uns super Hilfestellung bei allem was wir Wissen wollten. Unser Tag war ganz besonders. Und die ganze Familie hatte Spaß dank ihm! Danke! Wir können ihn nur weiterempfehlen!!!!

Ho fatto la mia prima ferrata la settimana scorsa. Andy mi ha dato la consapevolezza delle mie possibilità spingendomi sempre, con sicurezza, professionalità e simpatia, un attimo oltre quello che io consideravo il mio limite.
Questa settimana Andy mi ha portato sulla “ iconica” ferrata della Brigata Tridentina. Mi ha portato ,certo, perché io proprio non credevo di essere in grado di farla. Anche in questa seconda occasione, con sicurezza e facilità, con un approccio francamente ansiolitico, passo dopo passo, foto dopo foto , mi ha fatta arrivare al ponte sospeso e al Rifugio Pisciadu’.

Andy è stata una guida eccellente che ci ha accompagnato in questa giornata di arrampicata in famiglia. Preparatissimo, molto professionale e capace di tranquillizzare e fare sentire a proprio agio anche bambini piccoli alle prime armi. Certamente da consigliare e esperienza da ripetere, la prossima volta anche per lo scialpinismo.
